The goal of the Platform is to share good practices from around the world that could ultimately be of benefit for people living with dementia. WHO recognizes that people living with dementia have important insights and valuable knowledge. To ensure that the resources included in the Platform are meaningful and relevant, people living with dementia are involved as irreplaceable partners in the peer-review process. Focus group members meet regularly (typically biweekly or monthly) to review resources submitted to the Platform. During these one-hour meetings, members have open and honest discussions about resources under review, including whether and how the resource might impact people living with dementia and their carers.
